PLEASE TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR SHOP, TRESORIE.
Tresorie is a luxury lifestyle boutique which carries selected designer bags from
TRESOR (www.tresormakati.com), chic clothes from Tinsley by Elthy Irasga,
and D! Luxe Accessories by Rodina Chua- Velasco. We have shoes,
accessories, clothes, and bags! It’s like a girly-girl’s closet and our friends
actually come around and try everything out—it’s our feel- good place!
I also have a jewelry line called I. Benjamin (named after my father) which is
currently carried exclusively by FIRMA (Greenbelt and Trinoma). There’s the
animale and the whimsique collection, both of which feature 3-D objects which
are set in diamonds and other precious stones.
DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE.
I’m normally very casual—we’re talking some funky printed top with jeans or shorts and blingy slides (no to rubber slippers
please). There are days when I feel like dressing up a bit so I’ll wear a dress or a long caftan even. I love accessories—I think I
actually hoard them, but somehow I don’t wear accessories as much as I would want to—I guess I’m too lazy to put them all
together. If I feel lazy, I just wear one of my I. Benjamin rings. Oh and my must-have, my kick-bootie bag! I’m not complete
without that!
WHO ARE YOUR STYLE ICONS?
I like Princess Grace Kelly because she has such elegance and grace about her. Princess Mary of Denmark because she
represents the new era of royal ladies—stylish without deviating from the traditional royal mold. Victoria Beckham because her
outfits can be very outlandish and almost whimsical, but she remains confident enough to be photographed in them. And locally,
I admire the way Daphne Osena Paez dresses. She is always so stylish without even trying—very effortless. Also Rorie Carlos
of Summit Media. She is stunning. Standing next to her makes me look like a real hag! Haha!
DO YOU HAVE A DAILY UNIFORM?
As of late, it's Tinsley shorts with some tops I bought in HK and Bangkok for a steal! I wear them with ballet flats or bling slides,
and sometimes my favorite pair of heels. I also like solid colored tees with jeans. Then I’d use a bright colored bag. If I wanted
to channel simplicity, I just wear one of my I. Benjamin rings and nothing else. If I wasn’t too lazy, then I’d accessorize with D!
Luxe pieces— the whole 9 yards—earrings, bangles, ring…
WHAT ABOUT A FOOLPROOF OUTFIT?
I don’t think I have any. I like experimenting! I come out looking like a fashion victim oftentimes, but I think if you have enough
confidence, you can pull off almost anything. Hmm... that being said, my fool proof outfit might very well be my sometimes
suffocating self- confidence!
